Ray & the Rockets
Ray & the Rockets is a German rock 'n' roll and rockabilly band.
history
Ray & the Rockets was founded in 1997 by two musicians from the Friends of Italian Opera , the guitarist Jens "Blitz" Gouthier (alias Jänz Dittschlag ) and the singer Ray van Zeschau . Ray & the Rockets are primarily dedicated to the musical implementation of old rock 'n' roll and rockabilly pieces from the 50s to the early 60s. The band always likes to pick up related pieces of rhythm & blues , country or swing and boogie woogie . Due to the many musicians who played or play with Ray & the Rockets over and over again, the band is also jokingly called the rock 'n' roll galley. In 1998, 44 years after the "invention" of rock'n'roll, Ray & The Rockets released Dresden's first rock'n'roll sound carrier.
