JB Gouthier (born June 16, 1965 in Dresden as Jens Dittschlag, also Jänz Dittschlag and Jean Blitz Gouthier ) is a German guitarist , composer and musician .

life and work

In addition to his Abitur, he obtained his professional certificate as a guitarist for dance and light music , specializing in jazz guitar , at the Dresden Music School Paul Büttner, named after the composer and choir director Paul Büttner . During this time he met the musician Olaf Wiedemann , who was a guitarist in the Dresden punk band Paranoia . He founded his own punk band Suizid. After Olaf Wiedemann left for West Berlin , paranoia fell apart and ex-bassist Jörg Löffler formed the Oi project Cherusker Front for a short time with Dittschlag . In 1986 he founded the band Kaltfront , which was dissolved after the singer Kannä was called up to the NVA and later the departure of the last drummer Tom Gross. With Tom Gross, RJKK Hänsch (alias Ray van Zeschau ), Rainer A. Schmidt and Heiko Schramm , he founded his most successful band in 1988, Friends of Italian Opera , which was immediately engaged for Wolfgang Engel's Faust trilogy at the Dresden State Theater. In the middle of 1989 again melted into a trio, he quickly recruited a replacement with RJKK Hänsch. This time with Ralph Qno Kunze on drums and Roger Baptist on keyboard and bassoon . The second record deal now with Alfred Hilsberg and ex- Yello Carlos Perón as producer did not come off. In 1993 he began studying music at the Carl Maria von Weber University of Music in Dresden with Hans-Günter Ottenberg , a specialist in pre-classical music. After a two-year absence from the stage, he founded the band Female with Ralph Qno Kunze, which was to be a style defining element for many Dresden musicians.

In 1996 he started working again with Ray van Zeschau and founded the rock 'n' roll and rockabilly project Ray & The Rockets with him . During the same period he was intensively engaged in theater music and composed and arranged the soundtrack for Hasko Weber's Hamlet machine / Hamlet double staging at the Dresden State Theater. Further theater music such as In the Land of Last Things by Paul Auster at the Staatsschauspiel followed. In addition to numerous music projects such as Wombat, The New Town Swing Orchestra or Kathie Monroe and Band, he also found his way to film, where he often worked on a wide variety of projects for Balance Film. From 1994 to 2007 Gouthier was chief sound designer at the Starclub Dresden, now Beatpol .
