The Eschenbach is a right tributary of the Creußen in the Neustadt an der Waldnaab district in Bavaria .
course
The stream flows out of the Kleiner Rußweiher , then runs through Eschenbach in the Upper Palatinate in an easterly direction parallel to the B 470 , crosses under the street on the eastern edge of the city center and continues to flow in an easterly direction, past Eschenbachermühle and Witzlhof. It flows into the Creußen from the right across from Bärnwinkel , a district of the municipality of Trabitz .
The Kleiner Rußweiher is the last of a chain of ponds of the so-called Eschenbacher Weiherplatte , which are fed by the Großer Penzenbach among others. Calculated from its source furthest from the mouth in the mudflat of the village of Pfaffenstetten von Markt Kirchenthumbach , the Eschenbach is 14.5 km long, including its longest upper course and running sections of not inconsiderable length in ponds, of which only around 6 km belong to the section called Eschenbach. Right from the start, this is a very straight ditch, next to which there is a drying loop run and other remains of old ropes only at the last 400 meters.
