Esenboğa is a small town in the Çubuk district of the Turkish province of Ankara . Esenboğa is located about 26 km northeast of the provincial capital Ankara and 21 km south of Çubuk. According to the last census, Esenboğa had 1,597 inhabitants (as of December 2010). Esenboğa was named after İsen Buga , a commander of Timur in the battle of Ankara . İsen Buga is old Turkish and means the living bull .
