Eugen Grünert

Eugen Grünert , also Gruenert (* 1856 in Driesen , Brandenburg province ; † August 25, 1910 in Troppau , Austrian Silesia , Austrian Empire ), was a German landscape painter from the Düsseldorf School .

Life

In 1879, at the age of 24, Grünert began studying painting at the Düsseldorf Art Academy . There were Hugo Crola , Heinrich Lauenstein , Peter Janssen the Elder and especially Eugen Dücker his teachers. He attended Dücker's landscape class from 1882 to 1886. Grünert settled in Düsseldorf , where he belonged to the Malkasten artists' association from 1891 to 1910 .
