Eugen Karl Rückgauer (born September 6, 1870 in Stuttgart ; † October 22, 1943 in Frankfurt am Main ) was a German architect .

Life

Eugen Rückgauer was a son of Erasmus Rückgauer . From 1895 he worked for the construction company Philipp Holzmann . Among other things, he designed the Disconto-Gesellschaft building on Frankfurt's Roßmarkt and the Mitteldeutsche Creditbank building in Frankfurt.

1901–1902, with Rückgauer's participation, the main building of the Rhenish-Westphalian industrial and trade exhibition in Düsseldorf was built in 1902 , this building - the so-called exhibition palace and restaurant, later the art palace - was completely rebuilt in 1925/1926 on the occasion of the GeSoLei .

At times Eugen Rückgauer ran a construction business in Stuttgart , in which his father was also employed.

In 1912, the Parkhotel Schlangenbad was built according to Eugen Rückgauer's plans and is now a listed building.

Rückgauer describes himself here as an “architect” and construction business owner and claims to specialize in lifting, shifting and rotating buildings, which was actually and originally his father's profession.
