Eugen Schlachter

Eugen Schlachter (born April 23, 1957 in Maselheim ) is a German politician ( Die Grünen ). From February 18, 2008 to April 2011, he was a member of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament .

Private

Eugen Schlachter lives in Maselheim in Upper Swabia , has been married to his wife Heike for over 25 years and has three children of legal age (two daughters, one son). He has a degree in banking and is spokesman for the board of Raiffeisenbank Dellmensingen eG. He also works as a freelance journalist for the Schwäbische Zeitung and as an honorary judge at the Ulm Labor Court .

Economic policy

Schlachter was a co-founder of UnternehmensGrün , the Federal Association of the Green Economy (Berlin) in Stuttgart in 1992 and has since been a member of the board as treasurer.

Political party

Schlachter is considered the "real inventor and permanent organizer" of the political Ash Wednesday in Biberach , the most important Ash Wednesday event of the Greens. In the Baden-Württemberg state election on March 26, 2006 , Schlachter was Oswald Metzger's second candidate in the constituency of Biberach . After Metzger announced his resignation from the party on November 27, 2007 and announced that he would resign from his state parliament mandate within the next six months, the party announced that Schlachter would move into the Baden-Württemberg state parliament as his successor. Like butchers, butchers are also considered pragmatists.

At the state party conference of the Baden-Württemberg Greens on December 1, 2012 in Böblingen, Schlachter was voted 16th on the Bundestag list. Since only ten second-vote mandates were given to the Baden-Württemberg state association of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen in the 2013 federal elections , Schlachter did not make it into the Bundestag.
