Eugen II. Isidor Graf von Falkenhayn (born April 4, 1792 in Schrems , Lower Austria , † September 16, 1853 in Girincs , Kingdom of Hungary ) was an Austrian general of the cavalry .

Life

Eugen came from the old Naumburg noble family Falkenhayn and was the son of the chamberlain Eugen I. Graf von Falkenhayn (1761-1826) and Maria Anna Countess von Veterani-Mallentheim (1767-1852).

Falkenhayn was the landlord of Droß , Ottenschlag and Rechberg in Austria and Girincz in Hungary . He was a chamberlain, secret councilor , general of the cavalry and captain of the satellite bodyguard .

In 1848 he accompanied the imperial court to Innsbruck and Olomouc . In 1849 he became military commander of Upper Austria and Salzburg.

In 1825 he married Karoline Countess Colloredo-Wallsee (1802–1835), daughter of Franz de Paula the Elder. , Count Colloredo-Wallsee. His sons were:
