Eugen von Jagow
Eugen von Jagow (born March 6, 1849 in Aulosen ; † January 5, 1905 in Garches near Paris ) was a writer , royal Prussian lieutenant and correspondent for the Kreuzzeitung in Paris.
Life
His parents were Wilhelm Eduard Karl Ludwig August von Jagow (born September 14, 1803; † December 26, 1883) and his wife Clementine von L'Estocq (born October 26, 1808; † January 8, 1883). His uncle was Friedrich von Jagow .
Eugen von Jagow published a large number of plays and articles, including in the gazebo .
In 1895 Eugen von Jagow had the idea of offering Sarah Bernhardt a role in his play Magda , which Max Nordau viewed critically in an exchange of letters. Eugen von Jagow was friends with Max Nordau and was the first reader of the work Entartung von Nordau . Von Jagow also edits and discusses, among others, the plays Die Kugel , Der Lebenssport and Doktor Kohn with Nordau . He was in correspondence with Ulrich von Wilamowitz-Moellendorff , Wolfgang Kirchbach , Eugen Wolff and Louise Dumont , among others .
Eugen von Jagow married Gertrud Emilie Klara Meyer (born May 13, 1874) in Berlin on February 1, 1899 . The couple had two children:

- Clemens Eugen Matthias (1903-1993)
In 1901 he lived in Berlin at Friedrichsruherstrasse 7 in Grunewald.
