Euke Frank (born December 17, 1967 in Linz ) is an Austrian journalist , editor-in-chief and publisher of Woman magazine .

Life

After graduating from high school in Rahlgasse in Vienna , Frank began studying political science and journalism at the University of Vienna and also worked as a freelancer for the Austrian business publishing house . At the end of the 1980s, she switched to the news magazine Profil - and from there to the monthly magazine Basta , which Wolfgang Fellner founded together with his brother Helmuth. At the age of 23, Frank was appointed chief reporter for the magazine.

In 1993, Frank started in the foreign policy editorial office of the newly founded weekly magazine News , a little later she moved to the Chronik editorial team, which she ultimately led from 1994 to 1999 as head of department.

After the birth of her second child, Frank resigned from this position, but returned early from maternity leave to the editor-in-chief of the newly founded women's magazine Woman , where she headed the current , career , society and culture departments from the start in 2001 . Since January 2006, as editor-in-chief, she has been responsible for the women's magazine with the highest circulation in Austria and for the online portal mywoman.at that she designed . Since February 2015 she has also been the editor of Woman magazine.

In 2007 Frank founded the monthly glossy magazine First or 1st and headed it for a year alongside the Woman editorial team. (Both magazines are published by the News publishing group , which in turn is majority owned by Gruner + Jahr .)

In 2004 Frank published a book on late pregnancies with two doctors. In 2006 she and her partner, the television journalist Armin Wolf , wrote a non-fiction book about prominent career changers in politics, which for several weeks was number 1 in the Austrian bestseller lists.

Euke Frank lives with Armin Wolf, with whom she has been married since October 2008, and their two children in Vienna.
