The European Cultural Brand Award aims to promote professional management in the cultural and creative industries as well as marketing concepts and brand management.

history

The prize was awarded for the first time in 2006 by the agency Causales (today Causales - Society for Cultural Marketing and Cultural Sponsoring). Today he is awarded by the Causales College around the cultural manager Hans-Conrad Walter.

program

The first competition for the most successful cultural brand in Germany started in 2006 with a public online survey with 14,000 participants. Since then, the competition has developed annually, adding new categories and modifying existing ones in order to stimulate the cultural market, to make the enormous cultural potential visible and to honor creativity as well as dynamic cultural projects and extraordinary personalities.

Innovative cultural management is the basis for the awards in each of the eight categories. A cultural-political stance, innovative program, identity-based brand development, aesthetic and efficient brand maintenance are also important elements of the jury evaluation. In addition, trends in cultural tourism , urban culture, cultural education and cooperation with business enterprises are recognized. The European Culture Brand Award is aimed at cultural providers, culture-promoting companies, foundations, municipalities, tourism regions and the media.
