The Europamagazin - Report from Brussels is a magazine broadcast with information on politics in Europe. It has been shown on First German Television since October 7, 1989 and is produced weekly alternately by the broadcasters WDR and SWR . In 2004 the title melody by the Cologne composers Andreas and Matthias Hornschuh was recorded by the WDR radio orchestra. Since September 2014, a redesign of the previous audio design produced by Matthias Hornschuh can be heard in Europamagazin; the recording of the orchestra continues to be used in it (renamed WDR Funkhausorchester in September 2014).
On November 2, 2014, the previous report from Brussels by WDR television was merged with the Europamagazin. The broadcast on WDR television was then discontinued on December 10, 2014. Since then, the title of the programs produced by WDR in the ARD studio in Brussels has been "Europamagazin - Report from Brussels", while the programs produced by SWR in Stuttgart are only called Europamagazin.
Time slot
The half-hour magazine broadcast ran on Saturdays at 13:05 in the morning program of ARD and ZDF . From 2004, the time slot was between 4:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Erste . Since August 31, 2014, the magazine has been broadcast on Sundays from 12:45 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. The program is currently being repeated irregularly on WDR television and on tagesschau24 .
