Euroscience

Euroscience (ESOF, EuroScience Open Forum) is a European association of scientists and those interested in science, as well as scientific institutions, founded in 1997. The seat of the Secretariat is in Strasbourg , France. The organization sees itself as the European counterpart of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), whereby Euroscience is more oriented towards science policy. One of the goals of Euro Science is the construction of the European Research Area (ERA) (Engl. European Research Area, ERA).

The organization provides voluntary advice to scientists and lobbies the Commission of the European Union on issues relating to science and scientists.
