Eva Muggenthaler

Eva Muggenthaler (* 1971 in Fürth ) is a German children's book illustrator .

Life

Muggenthaler attended the technical college for design in Munich , where she graduated from high school in 1990. She then studied at the University of Applied Sciences for Graphic Design in Augsburg . From 1992 to 1996 she studied illustration and graphics at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences. Since then she has been working as a freelance illustrator, among others for Tulipan Verlag and Peter Hammer Verlag . She was nominated twice for the German Youth Literature Prize, in 1998 with the picture book Der Schäfer Raul , for which she wrote the texts herself, and in 2008 with The White and the Black Bear , which was created in collaboration with the Swiss author Jürg Schubiger .

Muggenthaler lives and works in Schwabstedt .
