In April 2014, he won his first title at an international championship at the European championship in Vantaa / Finland. In the new weight class up to 61 kg, he defeated Alexander Semisorow from Germany, against whom he could win but had to invest a lot after a quick drop in points. He then triumphed over Beka Lomtadze, Georgia, Wasyl Schuptar from Ukraine and, in a courageously managed final, the reigning world champion Bekchan Goigerejew .
