The Evangelical Lutheran Deanery Kempten is one of the seven deanery districts of the Augsburg church district . The Dean's District is headed by Dean Jörg Dittmar. With an area of ​​3000 km², the deanery district is larger than the Saarland .

history

Before the Bavarian era, the imperial city church system was administered by the cities themselves. The deanery was established on December 7, 1810. Kaufbeuren was added on July 2, 1816.
