Evangelical Church Bischoffen

Protestant church

The former Protestant church is a listed church building in Bischoffen , a community in the Lahn-Dill district ( Hesse ).

The building is a small Romanesque church with a squat, formerly fortified choir tower and a nave . In the tower room there are blind arch niches on three walls . The carved pulpit dates from the middle of the 17th century.

The building has not been used by the church since 1954 and became the property of the political community of Bischoffen. In 1999 the village community founded a support association that has set itself the task of preserving the church and making it usable again. The old church in Bischoffen is used for cultural events. The Protestant parish holds its services in the Wichernhaus, which was completed in 1954.
