Evangelical Church Wittekindshof

The Evangelical Church Wittekindshof in the Volmerdingsen district of the city of Bad Oeynhausen is a branch church of the Evangelical Lutheran Parish Volmerdingsen-Wittekindshof, which belongs to the Vlotho parish of the Evangelical Church of Westphalia .

History and architecture

After the founding of the institution Wittekindshof 1887 by Hermann Krekeler, pastor of the Evangelical Church Volmerdingsen , an institution parish was 1899 ausgepfarrt . Initially, a prayer room was used for church services. In 1903, construction began on the institution church, which was consecrated in 1904 . Karl Siebold created the plans for the church .

The neo-Romanesque sandstone building was renovated in 1974. The organ was made in 1957 by Gustav Steinmann Orgelbau in Vlotho and renovated in 2000, the four bells in the tower are also from 1957.

In 2007 the parishes of Volmerdingsen and Wittekindshof merged again.
