Evaristus Thatho Bitsoane (born September 17, 1938 in Rojane , Basutoland , † July 17, 2010 in Qacha's Nek , Lesotho ) was the Roman Catholic Bishop of Qacha's Nek in Lesotho.

Life

Evaristus Thatho Bitsoane was ordained a priest on December 19, 1964 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of the Diocese of Qacha's Nek in 1981 . He received his episcopal ordination on October 11, 1981, the Archbishop of Maseru , Alfonso Liguori Morapeli OMI; Co- consecrators were George Francis Daniel , Archbishop of Pretoria , and Paul Khoarai , Bishop of Leribe .

He from 1991 to 1997 and from 2002 until his death President of the Episcopal Conference of Lesotho (Lesotho Catholic Bishops' Conference, short LCBC).
