Evermoor is a UK miniseries produced by Lime Pictures for the UK Disney Channel. The idea for the miniseries came from Tim Compton and Diane Whitley, who were already responsible for the House of Anubis series . The miniseries premiered on October 10, 2014 on the British Disney Channel.
The German-language first broadcast took place as a film version in Switzerland on April 19, 2015 on SRF Zwei . In Austria, ORF eins showed the film version on November 1, 2015. In Germany, the Disney Channel showed the miniseries on January 9 and 10, 2016.
In March 2015, the British Disney Channel ordered a sequel to Evermoor in the form of a series entitled The Evermoor Chronicles .

Tara Crossley is a 15-year-old American girl who has to leave her urban life behind in order to move to the secluded British village of Evermoor with her family. Evermoor is on the edge of an eerie moorland in Middle England. Her actual mother from Great Britain and her new husband, along with her brother Jake and her step-siblings Seb and Bella, moved to the old family home of Evermoor Manor, where Tara had visited her now deceased aunt in her youth. While her parents settle in their new home, Evermoor Manor, Tara, her brother and step-siblings try to get used to the new surroundings. In the creepy mansion, Tara discovers a mysterious tapestry that shows the future. Although no one in the family wants to believe the very imaginative Tara, she also comes across the "Everines", a circle of witches that looks after the carpet - and who wants to get rid of the newcomers. And it doesn't take long before Tara finds herself in a world of danger, mystery and intrigue.

Spin-off
In March 2015, the British Disney Channel confirmed the production of a follow-up series to Evermoor, entitled The Evermoor Chronicles , which started on November 9, 2015. The shooting of the 20-part first season took place in the summer of 2015. This makes the series the first fictional series on the British Disney Channel. In addition to well-known characters from the miniseries, such as Tara, new characters have also been introduced in The Evermoor Chronicles . Like Evermoor , The Evermoor Chronicles is produced by Lime Pictures. Series creators Diane Whitely & Tim Compton, writer Bede Blake and executive producer Rebecca Hodgson will also be there again.
