Ewelina Marcisz (born February 2, 1991 ) is a Polish cross-country skier .

Career

Marcisz has been taking part in competitions organized by the Fédération Internationale de Ski since 2007 . Until the 2013/14 season, she mainly competed in the Slavic Cup . She took four wins and came second overall in the 2010/11 season. She ran her first World Cup race in November 2010 in Gällivare , which she finished in 79th place in the 10 km freestyle. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo in 2011 , she finished 54th over 10 km classic, 47th place in the sprint and eighth place with the relay. She got her first World Cup point in January 2014 in Szklarska Poręba with 30th place in the 10 km mass start race. At the 2015 Winter Universiade in Štrbské Pleso , she won bronze in the 15 km mass start race and silver in the sprint. Her best placings at the subsequent Nordic World Ski Championships in 2015 in Falun were 25th place in the sprint and fifth place in the relay. At the 2017 Winter Universiade in Almaty , she was classic over 5 km and fourth in the subsequent pursuit. Her best results at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2017 in Lahti were 42nd place over 10 km classic, ninth place together with Justyna Kowalczyk in the team sprint and eighth place with the relay. Her best placings at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang were 31st place in the skiathlon and tenth place with the relay.
