Eye Candy is an American television series starring Victoria Justice . The series was produced in 2014 for MTV . It is based on the novel of the same name by RL Stine and is about Lindy Sampson, who runs into a stalker who is behind serial murders in Manhattan while online dating. It first aired in the United States on January 12, 2015.

Technically gifted Lindy Sampson had to watch her sister Sara being kidnapped in front of her eyes. Lindy decided to quit college to find her sister.
Three years have passed and Lindy is now a hacker in New York. She is still looking for her sister and thereby neglecting her private life. Lindy is persuaded to do online dating by her roommate Sophia. In doing so, she runs into a stalker who is believed to be behind a series of murders. Together with her friends from hacker circles, Lindy sets out to put the killer down.
At the end of the first season it turns out that Lindy's friend Jake Bolin is the killer. Lindy also learns that her sister Sara has faked her kidnapping and is still alive.

In mid-September 2013, the US TV broadcaster MTV commissioned the serial pilot Eye Candy . In October 2013 Victoria Justice was able to secure the lead role of Lindy Sampson . The main male role went to Nico Tortorella on November 1, 2013 . A few days later, other leading roles went to Olesya Rulin , Justin Martin , Harvey Guillen and Lilan Bowden . The filming of the pilots took place from November 11th to November 14th in Manhattan , New York City .
On February 11, 2014, the television station ordered a first season with 10 episodes. However, the pilot episode was shot again and all other roles except Justice and Guillen were newly cast. In mid-September 2014, Casey Deidrick , John Garet Stoker and Kiersey Clemons were cast for the new leading roles. Filming for the first season took place between September 15 and December 20, 2014 in Brooklyn , New York City .
On April 18, 2015, Victoria Justice announced via her Twitter account that MTV would not order a second season of the television series.
