General data
The development of the type 00 ship can be traced back to a new building program by HADAG that was started in the late 1940s to replace the shipping company's outdated fleet . Five main ship types were planned, which were tailored to specific requirements of port traffic. These requirements included the dinghy guide service for which the type 00 launches were built. Dinghy guide service refers to the delivery service to ships lying on dolphins without going ashore .
The three ships built were named Jollenführer 1 to 3, depending on their intended use . A dinghy leader followed by a number was a common name at HADAG for ships with this task profile. In 1976 the barges were given names of well-known characters by the poet Wilhelm Busch .
From the 1970s until they were decommissioned, HADAG used the barges for port tours.
Technical specifications
The barges were 17.65 meters long and 4.00 meters wide. The draft was 1.30 meters, the side height 1.90 meters. The ships were built flat so that they could pass under the bridges in the harbor. They were with a MAN - marine diesel engine with four cylinders and an output of 80 hp equipped. The engine drove the propeller directly via a gearbox . The speed achieved was 9.5 knots .
In 1978 a radar system was retrofitted on the ships .
Ships
Each of the three ships was built at a different Hamburg shipyard . Jollenführer 1 was launched on July 19, 1956 under construction number 385 at Scheel & Jöhnk in Harburg , was delivered on September 19, 1956 and entered in the inland shipping register on September 21, 1956 with the number 19 289 . The launch was renamed Hans Huckebein on January 8, 1976 .
Jollenführer 2 was built under construction number 50 at JC & HC Kiehn and was delivered to HADAG on March 21, 1957. It was entered in the inland shipping register with the number 19 337. The ship was renamed Moritz on January 8, 1976 (after the figure in " Max and Moritz "). It was last used as a pilot transfer boat under the name Pema in Glückstadt . In the outer harbor there, it sank in the night of August 11, 2006. The ship was taken over by a community of owners in March 2008 and is to be restored to driving condition.
The dinghy leader 3 in 1956 under the hull number 76 at Pohl & Jozwiak built and passed on 20 June 1956 to the HADAG. The ship was renamed twice, on January 8, 1976 in Tobias Knopp and on October 21, 1981 after the Hamburg-born writer Wolfgang Borchert . - In 1993 the name was taken over from a newly built HADAG ferry.
