Félicien Mwanama Galumbulula

Félicien Mwanama Galumbulula (born October 26, 1960 in Tshibala , Democratic Republic of the Congo ) is a Congolese clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Luiza .

Life

Félicien Mwanama Galumbulula first studied at the seminary in Kabwe and then in Fano . He received on 9 August 1987, the sacrament of Holy Orders . Until 1992 he was active in the formation of priests in Luiza and Tschilomba.

From 1992 he studied at the Pontifical Gregorian University and was in the trade mission studies for Dr. theol. PhD . He then studied canon law at the Pontifical Lateran University , where he received his doctorate in 2002. jur. can. received his doctorate. During this time he was also active in pastoral care and as Vice Chancellor of the Rieti diocese .

After his return to the Congo he was visiting professor at the Catholic University of Bukavu and then taught at the seminary of Malole-Kananga , of which he was rector from 2004 to 2006, and from 2005 at the African Mission Institute in Kinshasa .

Since 2006 he has been Secretary for Legal Affairs of the Congolese Bishops' Conference , of which he has been General Secretary since 2008.

Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Luiza on January 3, 2014 . The apostolic nuncio in the Congo, Archbishop Adolfo Tito Yllana , donated him episcopal ordination on March 23 of the same year . Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Kananga , Marcel Madila Basanguka , and his predecessor as Bishop of Luiza, Léonard Kasanda Lumembu C.ICM .
