Adolfo Tito Camacho Yllana (born February 6, 1948 in Naga City ) is a diplomat of the Holy See .

Life

The Archbishop of Caceres , Teopisto Valderrama Alberto , ordained him a priest on March 19, 1972 . On February 1, 1984, he entered the diplomatic service of the Holy See and was used in the missions in Ghana , Sri Lanka , Turkey , Lebanon , Hungary and China . He speaks English , Spanish , Italian and French .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Titular Archbishop of Montecorvino and Apostolic Nuncio in Papua New Guinea on December 13, 2001 . The Pope personally donated his episcopal ordination on January 6 of the next year; Co-consecrators were Leonardo Sandri , substitute for the State Secretariat , and Robert Sarah , Secretary of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples . On February 5, 2002 he was also appointed Apostolic Nuncio to the Solomon Islands .

On March 31, 2006, he was appointed Apostolic Nuncio to Pakistan . Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on November 20, 2010 as Apostolic Nuncio to the Democratic Republic of the Congo .

Pope Francis appointed him Apostolic Nuncio to Australia on February 17, 2015.
