history

The place was settled in the late 11th to 13th centuries. Füßbach originally consisted of an upper and lower hamlet , these are still clearly distinguishable today on the corridor, the lower hamlet is more recent. The place originally belonged to Neufels Castle and fell to Hohenlohe in the 15th century . Like Mangoldsall , Füßbach belonged to the church hall . In 1806 Füßbach fell to Württemberg . The place was assigned to the municipality (Schultheißenamt) Mangoldsall in 1830. Together with Mangoldsall, Füßbach came as part of the community reform on January 1, 1972 to the newly formed community of Kupferzell through a merger.

Füßbach generates a large part of its energy needs from biomass and renewable energies and has been called bioenergy village since 2011 .
