FW Schröder-Schrom

FW Schröder-Schrom (born May 31, 1879 in Frankfurt am Main , † May 10, 1956 in Berlin ; born Franz Wilhelm Emil Schröder ) was a German actor .

Life

After FW Schröder-Schrom's acting lessons, he received his first engagement in Hamburg in 1900. Further stations in his stage career were Hanover, Bremen and Frankfurt am Main. Finally he came to Munich and acted there at the Bavarian State Theaters .

From 1922 he lived in Berlin and developed more and more into a film actor. In the 30s and 40s he embodied mostly higher-ranking figures such as commissioners, doctors, directors, judges and professors in numerous supporting roles.

After the end of the war he had to limit himself to his theater work again. He performed in the stands at the knee and at the event ring West Berlin, in addition he made several guest tours. At times he was a member of the board of directors of the German Stage Members' Cooperative .
