The FHWien der WKW is a university of applied sciences for management and communication in Vienna . The Vienna Chamber of Commerce and the Fund of the Wiener Kaufmannschaft are responsible for 50% each . The range of courses includes 10 bachelor's and 8 master's degree programs as well as 19 academic continuing education programs (as of January 2020). The University of Applied Sciences offers its students practice-oriented academic education and training. By 2018, the university had produced 10,946 graduates.
history
In 1994 the FHWien of the WKW started with the diploma course tourism management. Gradually, the range of courses was expanded.
Until 2007, the FH courses were offered as diploma courses with the academic degree Mag. (FH). With the changeover to the European Bologna study concept, in the 2007/08 academic year the changeover to Bachelor and Master degrees with the academic degrees Bachelor of Arts in Business or Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences or Master of Arts in Business or Master of took place Arts in Social Sciences.
Also in 2007 all study areas (previously: institutes) moved to the WKO campus wien at Währinger Gürtel 97, 1180 Vienna.

- Bachelor's degree in Communication Management (since the 2018/19 winter semester, a cohort of the degree under the name Corporate Communication has been taught entirely in English)

In addition to teaching, application-oriented research is a focus of the FHWien der WKW. The research activities are organized on the one hand in the Research Cluster SMEs & Family Businesses and on the other hand in research in the study areas.
