The FahnenFleck GmbH & Co. KG is a manufacturer and supplier of flags , poles, displays and other advertising media based in Hamburg . The company is one of the six largest flag manufacturers in Germany and one of the largest in Europe. FahnenFleck has been responsible for equipping public spaces with flags in Hamburg since 1994 and was, among other things, registered as a flag supplier and advertising provider for the soccer World Cup in South Africa .

Products

Together with Mattes & Ammanm, the company developed the special, robust flag fabric "Strongoflag". In 1994 FahnenFleck received a European patent for the development of a machine with which applications can be applied to the flag using ultrasound .

For the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, the manufacturer supplied flags for Namibia and Botswana , but also a million flags and 750,000 car flags for South Africa itself.

FahnenFleck was also the official supplier of various sporting events such as the Olympic Games in Mexico (1968) and Munich (1972), the German Gymnastics Festival in Leipzig (2002) and the exclusive licensee for the World Exhibition Expo 2000 in Hanover and the 800th port birthday in Hamburg (1989) .

In addition to trade fair and event equipment, the company supplies customers around the world with its products, including flagpoles, advertising displays, banners, merchandising items, uniforms and medals

For many years the company consisted of two different companies. In addition to the company for flag and advertising production, there was a separate company for party, costume and event items in Hamburg until the bankruptcy in 2018.

The general partner in FahnenFleck GmbH & Co. KG is Fahnenfleck Verwaltungsgesellschaft mbH, based in Hamburg.

For sales in South Africa, the company founded FahnenFleck Merchandising GmbH with a 51% shareholder from South Africa - FahnenFleck South Africa (Pty) Ltd. in Wellington , South Africa.

history

The company was founded by Maria Fleck in Hamburg in 1882 and initially equipped villas and representative buildings with flags. In 1987 Andreas Fleck took over the management. He and his nephew Eike Neumann have been running the company since November 2017. From 1975 to 2013 the company was based in Pinneberg. In 2013 the company headquarters was relocated back to Hamburg. Since the last move in April 2020, the company has been located on Stresemannstrasse in the Altona district. In addition, FahnenFleck has been operating an online shop for traders since 2019.
