Faith Ikidi (born February 28, 1987 in Port Harcourt ) is a Nigerian soccer player .
Career
Ikidi played her first games for Bayelsa Queens at the age of 16 . After convincing in trial training with Klepp FK, Ikidi moved to Norway and gained her first experience in European women's football. She played in Norway for two years before she decided to move to QBIK Karlstad in Sweden in the spring of 2005 . She immediately became a top performer at QBIK Karlstad and moved to Eskilstuna United in January 2007 . After just one season, she left Eskilstuna and signed a contract with Linköpings FC . In February 2010, she was drawn by Washington Freedom in the Dispersal Draft and transferred to Chicago Red Stars on August 8, 2010 . In October 2010 Ikidi was nominated as the best defender of Damallsvenskan 2010 . She joined league rivals Piteå IF in January 2011 .
International
Ikidi represented her home country at two U-20 soccer world championships in 2004 and 2006. She took part for Nigeria in the Olympic soccer tournament as part of the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens and the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing . Ikidi played her only Senior World Cup to date at the 2007 Women's World Cup in China and is in the 20-player squad for the 2011 Women's World Cup in Germany .
