Falk Meyer

Falk Meyer (born January 26, 1942 in Diepholz ; † December 27, 2019 ) was a German civil servant (senior building director). The graduate engineer last worked from 1990 until his retirement in 2003 as head of the Stralsund Waterways and Shipping Office. Before that he worked in Kiel .

On January 23, 2012, the Prime Minister of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania , Erwin Sellering , presented him with the Cross of Merit on Ribbon of the Federal Republic of Germany. On August 8, 2012, he was awarded honorary citizenship of the city of Stralsund .

He volunteered for the Friends of the German Oceanographic Museum in Stralsund, the Nautical Association, the Schiffercompagnie , the Christian Müther Foundation and the Rotary Club .
