Falko Steinke (born March 26, 1985 in Beelitz , Potsdam district , GDR ) is a German volleyball player .

Career

Steinke, who comes from a volleyball family, began his sporting career with his home club SG Beelitz. He joined the VC Olympia Berlin junior team through WSG Potsdam . At the European Championships in 2004 he reached third place with the junior national team. In 2006 he made promotion to the Bundesliga with Netzhoppers Königs Wusterhausen . Then he moved to SCC Berlin . In the 2007/08 season , the diagonal attacker reached the playoff final for the German championship against VfB Friedrichshafen with the Charlottenburgers . After recovering from a knee injury, he played for SG Eltmann until 2009 . He was then obliged by TV Rottenburg and reached the European Cup with the Swabians. In the summer of 2011, he moved to the RWE Volleys Bottrop as the second best point collector of the previous Bundesliga season . However, due to various problems, he returned to Rottenburg at the beginning of December. Since 2012 Falko Steinke played for the second division SVG Lüneburg , with whom he was promoted to the Bundesliga in 2014. In 2015 Steinke was in the DVV Cup final with Lüneburg . He ended his career in 2016.
