Fareed Sadat (born November 10, 1998 in Afghanistan ) is a Finnish - Afghan football player on the position of a striker . He is under contract with Haukar Hafnarfjörður in Iceland's second division.

Club career

Fareed Sadat was born on November 10, 1998 in Afghanistan, where he grew up before he came to Finland with his family in 2011 . After playing on a club basis for the youth of Atlantis FC , he was then active in the offspring of the lower class Grankulla IFK (GrIFK) and made his debut in the third class Kakkonen for the men's team in 2014 . The 15-year-old made his debut on August 7, 2014 in a 5-0 win over Someron Voima (SoVo) when he came on the pitch in the 70th minute of play for Claudio Matrone . Only one month later he came to another third division assignment on September 4th, when he came up again as a matron replacement from the 80th minute in the 2-1 away win against Salon Palloilijat (SalPa). At the end of the 2014 season he was in second place with GrIFK, seven points behind Ekenäs IF (EIF). For the 2015 game year, he moved to league rivals FC Espoo , who was now the last of the Eteläinen to be relegated to fourth-class Kolmonen . At Espoo he spent most of the year in the club's own offspring, but was also able to convince through assignments in the Kolmonen. With the team he immediately made it to the third highest Finnish football league. He was also noticed in the 2015 Finnish soccer cup when he scored four goals in the 9-0 victory over Kellokosken Alku (KelA) in the second round . With the team he was eliminated in the following round with 1: 2 against Savannan Pallo (SaPa) from the current tournament.

At the beginning of 2016, the goal- scoring striker switched to the Finnish first division club FC Lahti , with whom he signed a one-year contract with the option of two more years on both sides. Since the signing of the contract was only announced on February 16, 2016, Sadat was active alternately for both clubs. So he made his competitive debut for FC Lahti and then played again for a short time alternately for the youngsters of FC Espoo. In the Finnish League Cup of the 2016 game year , he was used in three of the five group games and qualified with the team as group B group winner for the final, which the team only won on penalties against the group A group winner , Seinäjoen JK . After playing over 90 minutes in the 6-0 victory over Atletico Malmi in the fifth round of the 2016 Finnish Football Cup on April 1, 2016 , Toni Korkeakunnas brought him into the professional squad for the subsequent league games. At 17 years, five months and 18 days, he was the youngest player in the Veikkausliiga in the 2016 game year .

National team

After he announced in October 2016 that he would apply for Finnish citizenship after his 18th birthday, he played three games for the Finnish U-17 national team in 2017. In December 2018 Sadat was nominated for the first time for the Afghan national team . It was used for the first time in the second friendly against Turkmenistan on December 28, 2018. During qualifying for the U-23 Asian Cup 2020 , Sadat played three games for the U-23 national team of Afghanistan. The qualification was ultimately unsuccessful.
