Farum Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) west of the Danish capital Copenhagen (Danish: København ). Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Ølstykke Herred in what was then Frederiksborg Amt , then to Farum Kommune in the still existing Frederiksborg Amt, which was merged into Furesø Municipality in the Hovedstaden region as part of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 .
20,947 inhabitants live in the parish, 20,345 of them in the city of Farum (as of January 1, 2020).
The church "Farum Kirke" is located in the parish.
Neighboring municipalities are in the south Værløse Sogn , further in the east neighboring Rudersdal municipality Ny Holte Sogn and Birkerød Sogn , in the northwest neighboring Allerød municipality in the north Blovstrød Sogn and in the northwest Engholm Sogn and Uggeløse Song and in the southwest neighboring Egedal municipality Ganløse Sogn .
