Faust des Ostens (FdO) is a hooligan group made up of supporters of the Dynamo Dresden soccer club . It is an aggressively right-wing extremist and neo-Nazi group with a tendency to violence.

Faust des Ostens was founded on April 20, 2010 in the goal industry near the stadium. The founding date refers to the 121st birthday of Adolf Hitler . At the time it was founded, the hooligan group consisted of around 50 people from the Dynamo Dresden hooligan scene, some of whom were so-called intensive offenders . The young group names the police, West German football fans and foreigners as enemy images. The group is openly neo-Nazi, insults and swear words such as “ Kanaken ”, “Polacken” and “Judenfotzen”, National Socialist slogans such as “ Sieg Heil ”, the Hitler salute and “Fame and Honor” are common. The members of the group practice martial arts together in order to prepare for attacks and the usual fights in the scene. The police and the Office for the Protection of the Constitution have been investigating the group, which at times comprised around 100 to 200 people, since it was founded . In DDV Stadium members of the group stadium ban . Nevertheless, members manage to sneak their way into the stadium and hang up their banners. Members were also involved in the riots at away games against Borussia Dortmund , Hannover 96 and 1. FC Kaiserslautern , which almost led to the exclusion of Dynamo Dresden from the 2011/12 DFB Cup .

The group has contacts with right-wing extremists, in particular the Free Comradeships as well as Pegida and Legida . A former member of the group is also a member of the Freital vigilante group .

In 2012 there was a large-scale raid on the members of Faust des Ostens. Since July 19, 2013, proceedings against the five leaders of the group have been pending. In addition to bodily harm and breach of the peace , the group is also accused of commercial trading in stolen spirits. Due to the overload of the Saxon courts due to a lack of staff, however, no hearing has yet taken place. Instead, the group continues to act. Members of the group are said to have been involved in an attack on the Leipzig district of Connewitz, which is popular with the left, and on a migrant at the Dresden city festival. The group is also said to have participated in the clashes between German and Ukrainian fans during the 2016 European Football Championship in Lille . In the run-up, a picture of German fans who posed with the Reich war flag was circulating , including members of Faust des Ostens. Since the indictment was filed, 12 further investigations have been opened against the five leading figures. Since 2013, there have been 24 further proceedings opened against other members of Faust des Ostens.
