The 10th men's fistball world championship took place from 25 to 29 August 1999 in Switzerland . The games were played in Elgg , Vordemwald , Diepoldsau and Olten . After 1979, Switzerland hosted the men's fistball world championship for the second time .

The 1999 fistball world championship was held at four venues. After the preliminary round in Elgg and Vordemwald , the qualifying games for the finals took place in Diepoldsau . This took place with the final in front of 7,500 spectators in Olten .
