The organizing committee was able to win the Austrian sports broadcaster ORF Sport Plus as media partner of the 2011 Fistball World Cup . The television station broadcast the quarter-finals of the Austrian national fistball team against Italy, the two semi-finals, the bronze medal match and the final between Austria and Germany live. In addition, the game between Austria and Brazil was broadcast in full length with a time delay. As a presenter, Johannes Hahn reported for the broadcaster from the edge of the field, while Boris Kastner-Jirka , himself a former fistball player, accompanied the encounters as a commentator . The ORF had hired the former national coach of the Austrian national fistball team Ernst Almhofer as an expert.
