The 7th men's fistball world championship took place from September 19 to 23, 1990 in Vöcklabruck , Upper Austria. After 1968, Austria was the host of the men's fistball world championship for the second time .

mode

Six teams play a qualification, while the top five from the previous 1986 World Cup are set for the preliminary round. The three best teams in the qualification continue to play in the preliminary round, the other teams in the qualification play a final round for places 9 to 11.

The preliminary round is played in two groups of four teams each. In the semifinals, the group winners of the preliminary round play against the runners-up in the other group. Furthermore, the group thirds play against the fourth place of the other group for the game for fifth place.

The games of group A took place in Linz- Stamm, the games of group B in Zwettl an der Rodl .
