Faye Deborah White , MBE (born February 2, 1978 in Crawley , England ) is an English football player. She is the captain of the Arsenal Ladies in the FA Women's Premier League and was the captain of the England team at the 2011 World Cup. White is one of the most successful English football players.
Career

Faye White has played for Arsenal since 1996. In her very first season, the central defender became a regular player and won the championship. The following season she was voted Player of the Year by the league. Incidentally, White won the trophy and the league cup for the first time .
In 2001, White won the triple of championship, cup and league cup with Arsenal . A year later she was promoted to team captain both in the club and in the national team . In 2004 and 2006, White won the double with Arsenal . In a friendly against Bristol City on July 16, 2006, White suffered a ruptured cruciate ligament .
National team
Against Scotland , White made her debut for the English national team on March 9, 1997.
