The The Football Association Women's Challenge Cup Competition (short: FA Women's Cup) is the English club trophy for women's football clubs. The competition is comparable to the DFB Cup in Germany. The FA Women's Cup was played for the first time in 1971 . The first winner was Southampton FC , while Arsenal LFC is the record winner with 14 cup wins. The FA Women's Cup has a relatively low profile in England. Nevertheless, the final has been broadcast live on radio and television by the BBC for several years .

The FA Women's Cup is open to any English club that plays in a league sanctioned by the Football Association or an association affiliated with the Football Association. If a club wishes to participate, it must apply to the Football Association and pay an entry fee. The deadline for applications is July 1st. The Football Association then reviews the applications and decides which clubs are allowed to participate and which are not.

The FA Women's Cup is played in a knockout system. If there is a tie after 90 minutes, the game will be extended by 15 minutes twice. If it is still a draw, the winner will be determined on penalties. This distinguishes the FA Women's Cup from the FA Cup for men, where the regulations provide for a replay in such a case.

In the two qualifying rounds and the first three rounds of the main round, the draw is carried out according to geographical criteria. The team drawn first has home rights. This means that an FA Women's Premier League club can have home rights against a fourth division team. The final was always held in a neutral stadium until 2014, but has been held permanently in Wembley Stadium since 2015 . In the final of 2018, the record attendance of this competition was set with 45,432 spectators.
