Fazlı Kocabaş (born January 1, 1990 in Brussels ) is a Belgian - Turkish football player .

Career

society

Kocabaş was born to parents of Turkish origin in Brussels, Belgium . At the age of 11, he started playing club football in the youth department of Racing Jet Wavre in Walloon Brabant . In the summer of 2005 he left the club after five years and switched to the C-youth of Standard Liège . In 2008 he got his first professional contract after completing the C to A youth at Standard Liège in 4 years. Here he stayed a season without a competitive game and then moved within the league to KAS Eupen . At Eupen he established himself as a regular player within two years.

In the summer of 2013 he moved to the Turkish Süper Lig for promoted Kayseri Erciyesspor . Together with his teammate Hüseyin Kala , he moved to the second division Adana Demirspor for the 2014/15 season and played for them for one season.

After this contract expired after the 2014/15 season, Kocabaş was initially without a contract before he was signed for the rest of the season by the Belgian second division Royale Union Saint-Gilloise at the end of September 2015 . The next season he signed a contract with Oud-Heverlee Löwen . This club had just been relegated to the 2nd division.

Once again he was without a club after this contract expired. In the second half of the 2017/18 season he played for Royal Wallonia Walhain, a club in the 2nd division of amateurs. From the 2018/19 season he had a two-year contract with the option to extend for another season with KSV Roeselare , a club from Belgium's 2nd division. However, this contract was terminated by mutual agreement in the summer of 2019.

Since the 2019/20 season he has been under contract with second division Swift Hesperingen in Luxembourg . But it was immediately awarded to Royal Excelsior Virton for a year .

National team

Kocabaş national team career began in 2005 in the Belgian U-15 national team. Furthermore, Kocabaş played on October 12, 2010 once for the Belgian U-21 national team against Turkey (1: 4).
