Felipe Borges (born May 4, 1985 in São Bernardo do Campo ) is a Brazilian handball player who is mostly used on the left wing .

The 1.86 m tall and 86 kg heavy right-handed player began playing handball in his hometown in 1997 at ADC Metodista São Bernardo. In 2002 and 2004 he won the South American Junior Championship, also in 2004 his first Brazilian men's championship. In 2006 he was voted the best player in Brazil. In 2007 he moved to the Spanish league ASOBAL to BM Aragón . With Aragón he reached the semifinals in the EHF Cup 2007/08 and the EHF Cup 2008/09 , but failed there at HSG Nordhorn and VfL Gummersbach . After two years he returned to Brazil to EC Pinheiros . In 2011 he was signed by the Spanish club Ademar León , with whom he was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the EHF Champions League 2011/12 despite a 34:23 home win against Füchse Berlin . A year later he reached the second round of the premier class again . Since March 2013, the winger has been playing for Montpellier Handball in the Ligue Nationale de Handball . With the French record champions, he won the league cup in 2014 and 2016 and the French cup in 2016 and reached the final of the EHF European Cup 2013/14 , in which he was defeated by Pick Szeged . In the summer of 2016, he moved to the Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon . After Borges sustained a shoulder injury at the 2016 Pan American Championship , his contract was terminated in July 2016. A year later he was signed again by Sporting. With Sporting he won the Portuguese championship in 2018. For the 2018/19 season, Borges moved to the French first division side Tremblay-en-France Handball .

With the Brazilian national team , Felipe Borges won the Pan American Games in 2007 and 2015 , the Pan American Championship in 2006, 2008 and 2016 and took part in the 2008 Olympic Games . Borges also played at the 2009 , 2011 and 2013 World Championships . In 2009 he was the third-best goalscorer of the tournament with 61 goals in nine games. So far, he has played 210 international matches in which he scored 730 goals.
