Felix Dachsel

Felix Dachsel (* 1987 ) is a German journalist .

Life

Dachsel grew up in Schlaitdorf in the Esslingen district . He attended the Hölderlin high school in Nürtingen . He studied Modern German Literature , Psychology and Spanish at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich , Political Science and Islamic Studies at the Albert Ludwig University in Freiburg and literary writing at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig , but did not complete any of the courses. He attended the Henri Nannen School and was the editor of the taz . He addressed his student life in the Uni-Loser column for Spiegel Online and in the book Waiting and drinking beer (2015). In 2015 he became editor of the weekly newspaper Die Zeit , where he was involved in setting up the print section “Z”.

In 2018 Dachsel left the time and succeeded Laura Himmelreich as editor-in-chief of the German online edition of the lifestyle and youth magazine Vice . In 2019 he took over from Himmelreich as editor-in-chief of all German-language editions.
