Felix Hauptmann (born October 2, 1993 ) is a German jazz musician (piano, composition).

Hauptmann, who grew up in Saarland, founded the HNK Trio in 2009 with Conrad Noll and Fabian Künzer ; In 2011, the trio received the Deutschlandfunk studio award as part of the national youth jazz meeting , and in September 2012 first place at the “European Jazz Award” in Kaiserslautern. As a result, the HNK Trio recorded their first album First Steps (2012), followed in 2014 by a second album on Unit Records , which was created together with saxophonist Florian Boos.

Since 2012 he has been studying at the Cologne University of Music and Dance . He was part of Laura Totenhagen's trio or quartet , with whom he recorded the album Foliage (Toy Piano 2017); He is also a member of the quartets of Sabeth Pérez and Martin Gasser ( Blue Prayer ). Lennart Allkemper and Konstantin Döben brought him into their project Solomons Kosmos , Peter Hedrich into his sextet. In 2016 and 2017 he was a member of the Federal Jazz Orchestra ( Verley uns Frieden ). He also worked with Gerd Dudek , Manfred Schoof , Matthias Nadolny , Jörg Achim Keller , Niels Klein , Jiggs Whigham , Fabian Arends , Reza Askari and Benedikt Koch.

At the International Jazz Competition in Mechelen , he won the prize for best soloist in 2015.
