Sabeth Pérez (born April 11, 1992 ) is a German- Argentinian jazz musician ( vocals , composition ).

Live and act

Pérez, whose father is the composer Gabriel Pérez , first grew up with traditional Argentine music. In Cologne and Weimar she studied at the music academies with Michael Schiefel , Fay Claassen , Jeff Cascaro , Anette von Eichel and Hubert Nuss . As a member of the Jugendjazzorchester NRW and the Bundesjazzorchester , but also in concerts and recordings with the Cologne Contemporary Jazz Orchestra, the WDR Big Band Köln , the hr-Bigband , the Sunday Night Orchestra , the EOS Chamber Orchestra and the Junge Kammerphilharmonie NRW, she collected relevant music early on Experience. She also founded her own quartet and, together with the singers Veronika Morscher , Rebekka Ziegler and Laura Totenhagen (and rhythm group), the band Of Cabbages and Kings . She brings her own compositions to the Marc Doffey quintet , to which she has been a member since 2015; she won the Saar Jazz Prize 2015 with the band, the Young German Jazz Prize 2016 and the Young Munich Jazz Prize 2016. She is also involved in recordings with Minino Garay and Gustavo Beytelmann .
