Anette von Eichel (* 1971 in Hessen ) is a German jazz singer .

Live and act

Eichel performed with the band Naima from 1993 to 1995 ; She also sang in the Ensemble H Free Jazz . Between 1995 and 1997 she was a member of the Bujazzo . In 1995 and 1996 she was also active as a soloist in the jazz choir of the German Singers Association. Between 1994 and 2000 she studied jazz singing at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag with Rachel Gould and Jeanne Lee and history at the Rijksuniversiteit Leiden . In 2001 she presented her debut album produced by Hein van de Geyn . She also worked with Hubert Nuss , Frank Haunschild , Jens Düppe , Rudi Engel , Oliver Strauch as well as with the Sunday Night Orchestra , the Cologne Contemporary Jazz Orchestra and the Shreefpunk Big Band. Concert tours have also taken her to Austria, Hungary, Romania, Moldova, Switzerland, Spain and South Africa.

Eichel was a lecturer at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague from 2001 to 2009. Since 2010 she has been professor for jazz singing at the Cologne University of Music and also worked at the Osnabrück University of Music.

Prizes and awards

In 1991 she won the Hessian state competition " Jugend jazzt " with Markus Horn and the other members of the Prelude ensemble . In 1994 she received first prize in a competition at the Hamburg Academy of Music.
