Felix Stillfried (actually Adolf Ferdinand Rudolf Brandt ; born September 26, 1851 in Fahrbinde ; † June 5, 1910 in Rostock ) was a Low German writer and poet .

Life

He spent his childhood in Klein Rogahn . From 1863 he attended the grammar school in Schwerin . In Rostock and Leipzig he studied theology and classical philology from 1871 to 1874 . He then worked first as a private tutor , later as a senior teacher and finally as a high school teacher at the large city school in Rostock.

Honors

As early as 1912, a memorial was erected in Klein Rogahn with a bronze relief created by the sculptor Wilhelm Wandschneider in honor of Stillfried. A school in Stralendorf has been named after him since 2002 .
