Felix Waske

Felix Waske (born May 28, 1942 in Vienna ) is a contemporary Austrian painter.

Life

Felix Waske spent early childhood in Tyrol and school in Vienna. From 1958 to 1967 he studied at the Academy of Applied Arts with Eduard Bäumer and at the Academy of Fine Arts with Max Weiler . During his studies, he made trips to Italy, southern France, North Africa and Greece. In 1965 he got his first camera and began taking photos, initially on a small scale, but without interruption. For many years photography has been an important part of his viewing. The first exhibition of his drawings and pictures took place in 1967, and many more followed.

In 1967 he moved to Ibiza with his wife Rosemarie and daughter Clea, ten years later he returned to Vienna, but spent every summer in Ibiza. Today he lives and works in Vienna and Ibiza.
