action

Criminal psychologist Janna Dane surprises three unscrupulous intruders in her house at night, who previously murdered her sister and her nine-year-old son. When the battle-hardened lady of the house is besieged by the murderers, she saves herself by jumping from her balcony. Janna suffers a traumatic brain injury when she falls, and from then on she encounters supernatural visions when she touches objects. The psychologist uses these clairvoyant abilities to track down the murderers of her relatives one after the other and to judge them in vigilante justice; she doesn't trust the police, in the person of sleazy Detective Briggs, on this matter.

While Janna is gradually liquidating the men, she learns that the wanted - they are ex-convicts - are part of a criminal organization led by a shady character named Eugene . This acts on behalf of Detective Briggs, who pulls the strings in the background. At the end of the film, the avenger leverages the criminal organization with the support of lawyer and publisher Nicholas - the two have become lovers in the meantime. In the last scene, the "lonely avenger" gives up her career as an expert.
