Fenn - Hong Kong Phooey ( English Hong Kong Phooey , in the new German version Hong Kong Fu ) is an animated series by the Hanna-Barbera-Studios from 1974. Hong Kong Pfui is a canine master detective who fails everything in the tradition of Superhero parodies like Inspector Clouseau and Inspector Gadget . He later appeared as a member of the Scooby Doobies , a superhero troupe with other Hanna Barbera characters like Captain Caveman and Dynomutt, the wonder dog. He had other appearances in the series Duck Dodgers .

action

He works as janitor Fenn ( Penrod "Penry" Pooch in the original) in a police station ; But when the man is needy, he turns into the karate hero Hong Kong ugh . His assistant is Spot the cat, who always has to rescue him from the closet he got stuck in during his transformation. With his reference work (Kung Fu book or Hong Kong book) and the Phooey mobile, which is similar to Fred Feuerstein's vehicle , but can also be transformed, it goes on the hunt for criminals.

Other main characters are the erotic, blonde operator of the Rosemary police station and the police officer Sergeant Flint ("Sarge").

Fenn is never exposed as a superhero and always credits himself with the success in the hunt for criminals, although it was mostly the cat who set the course for it.
